Hugh graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1987 with his Bachelor of Science in Dentistry and Doctorate in Dental Medicine. Shortly after his graduation he moved to White Rock where he practiced general dentistry until 1994. He then graduated from the endodontic program at Loma Linda University Hospital in Los Angeles with a Master of Science degree in Endodontics. Hugh returned to the White Rock area with his family and opened his long-standing practice in the Windsor Square Building.

Hugh was a highly dedicated, skilled and experienced endodontist with a career spanning nearly four decades. In addition to providing excellent service, Hugh was a well-respected educator and lecturer, sharing his deep knowledge and understanding of clinical endodontics by teaching at UBC
and later opening The Endodontic Learning Centre. He was highly esteemed in the dental community, dedicated to providing the highest standard of care. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

With Dr. Maguire’s legacy in mind, we would like to continue the amazing care the community has become accustomed to. With that, we would like to introduce our new Endodontists Dr.’s Pommy Hallen and Zhejun Wang at Access Endodontics.
